New Scheme to Assist in Keeping STT Per Person Safari Costs Competitive
We are acutely (and sympathetically) aware of the preclusively high price of going
on safari alone, where the major costs are borne un-shared. To assist solo safari-goers
and small groups who are happy to share a safari vehicle with up to 4 other people
that they have not yet met, in reducing their or their group’s per person climb costs,
we used to publish a forum on which we invited prospective STT safari-goers to publish
their proposed dates for others to join. We have since however found that a Facebook
page is a more efficient means of connection our prospective climbers and safari-goers.
Those therefore looking to reduce their per person costs when booking a safari with
us and very warmly encouraged to post their proposed outline itinerary and dates
onto Safari Tours | Tanzania’s Facebook page, and advise others to join their booking.
Please note that as per our usual booking procedures, we request that a single representative
of the overall composite group should correspond with us on behalf of all the other
members of the group. This will allow us to invoice each safari-goer via the principal,
on the basis of a larger booking group which in some cases will significantly reduce
per person safari costs, particularly where one or two persons succeed in augmenting
their booking size to four persons.
Please note that the best prices will be obtained where vehicle occupation is optimal,
that is, shared by 4 persons - excluding staff. Where the group size exceeds this
number, per person costs may actually rise slightly as it becomes necessary to provide
a second vehicle, effectively reducing the number of persons per vehicle, until an
again optimal group size of 8 persons is reached.
